BMSG applauds FG for tackling unemployment
The Buhari Media Support Group applauds the President Muhammadu Buhari administration for its visionary leadership through the creation of new and restoration of jobs.
The group notes with gladness that several measures being implemented by the administration, especially in the construction industry, housing and in particular the ongoing revival in the agricultural sector have started yielding positive results.
The BMSG recalls in a statement signed by Muhammad Labbo, Chairman and Cassidy Madueke, Secretary that the Federal Government in a deliberate bid to stimulate the nation’s economy and cushion the effects of the recession, paid contractors part of the debts accumulated since 2013.
The BMSG hails the administration for channelling over N800 Billion into capital expenditure with over N500Billion to the construction sub sector, which has enabled construction companies to mobilise to abandoned sites, recall laid-off workers and recruit new ones.
The BMSG appreciates the efforts of the President Buhari administration to complete several roads across the country abandoned by the previous administrations. This will further enhance productivity and ease movement of goods and services across business and trading arteries of the country.
The BMSG while noting that job losses in the manufacturing sector is a reflection of the current economic challenges acknowledges the Federal Government’s efforts in addressing them.
The BMSG reveals that a package of measures have been included in the 2017 Fiscal Roadmap and Budget which would include tax relief and other incentives to stimulate the economy.
